Michael 2026 has achieved the biggest opening weekend of a biopic film in history, earning $97 million domestically and $217 million globally during its April debut. The Devil Wears Prada, on the other hand, opened to a jaw-dropping $234 million globally.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 reunites the franchise’s iconic cast members Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci under the direction of David Frankel, the production led by Wendy Finerman, and the writing by Aline Brosh McKenna. Meanwhile, Michael, is directed by Antoine Fuqua and produced by Graham King, with Jaafar Jackson taking on the challenging role of portraying his late uncle.
Why We Want to Watch Them
Both films both appeal to the nostalgia of certain generations, which is already a factor that makes both movies simply intriguing and a must-watch for some. Beyond this and the stellar casting choices of the films, both films have another thing in common: they give us a look inside the lives of leaders in a certain industries.

We are all successful (or have achieved success in some things) in our own way. It can have different meanings to people who believe that they have achieved it. For Miranda and Michael, this meant being at the very top of their industry. Both films explore the sacrifices, the perks, and the adoration that a certain magnitude of success can achieve.
Mirada is both despised and adored by her industry peers. Similarly, Michael receive both massive hate and love during his lifetime.

Both movies made an effort to remain entertaining and invested an impressive amount of budget and effort in the production aspect of the movie. In a way, both films explored the price that success demanded. The sacrifices, the broken relationships, the moments they missed. Passing Thoughts
