A Chorus Filled With Stars

Chorus Line Manila Showcases Filipino Talent at Its Finest

Last March 12, A Chorus Line Manila opened at the Samsung Theater and left audiences in awe by showcasing Filipino triple threats tell the story of 17 hopefuls vying for spots opened for 4 girls and 4 boys. From the show’s strong opening to the enticing individual performances of the cast, there is really so much to love about this musical.

First up: it’s an all-Pinoy class put together from all over the world, including international dancer Ken San Jose and broadway performer Christina Glur. Filipinos are known for their love of art and music. Lately, there has been a surge of local talent getting global recognition. For instance, homegrown pop groups Bini and SB19, are now scheduled to perform in huge-scale international events.

We can’t wait to see it happen even more!

This is only one of the things we love about it. There’s much more, so we suggest you catch one of their shows while you still can!

5 Things We Love About A Chorus Line Manila

Seeing the Fusion of Dance, Dialogue, and Music

Seeing these three thrive in their own world is amazing, but it is a whole other experience seeing these skills shine together onstage. The musical fuses it so perfectly, leaving no lull moments at all.

Seeing Dance Take the Stage

In many productions, dance usually takes a backseat to the main performance, but this musical made it the center of the story. Somehow, it is like a tribute to the dancers of the world who work hard everyday to move, perform, and to share.

The Songs Left us LSS

Hearing classic songs like What I Did for Love and One brought out so much nostalgia! It is difficult to perform songs or pieces that an audience knows well (or something that been around for a long time). The talent of the cast was amazing, giving justice to these pieces.

Natural Chemistry of the Cast

Like in any production, chemistry is key! The cast’s onstage chemistry was apparent and it engaged and entertained us even more, while watching the musical!
